MISS JODIE-LEE VOGEL

Miss JL started dancing from the age of 5 years old. Her passion developed dancing with local studio in the Illawarra which led her to her dream when she was little girl… ‘JL Dance Company’
Through her years of training Miss JL studies many different genres which taught her the disciplines, techniques and appreciation of the art form.


Miss JL has performed, competed and trained nationally and internationally and has been coached by well-recognised and highly regarded teachers, choreographers and examiners.
Further into her training Miss JL has completed her RAD examinations and has been recognized outstanding results throughout Australia. Pursuing her career and training further Miss JL has attended world recognized places such as Sydney Dance Company, Ministry of Dance, Australian Dance Festival, The Edge, Millennium Dance Studios. Throughout this time of career Miss JL has performed overseas at Disney Land (USA), became involved with professional performance gigs (AUS/USA) & performed on the Bali Hai Cruise (ASIA)


Prior to JL Dance Company operating Miss JL had been a freelance dance teacher for five years, choreographed for local dance schools prepping students for competitions and examinations, organizing workshops and choreographing dance routines for primary/secondary school performances. Miss JL also worked casually for childcare centers for over 6 years and still works in the department of education as a School Learning Support Officer.

Miss JL has successfully gained her Certified Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS) and RTS through the Royal Academy of Dance in 2011 and has furthered her training and qualifications with a Diploma in Dance Teaching Studies by correspondence with the Royal Academy of Dance and Surrey University in London in 2014. Applying her mind further with Australian Teachers of Dance and continues to attend regular seminars, courses and workshops through these accredited organisations.

In 2019 Miss JL attended the Acrobatic Arts Workshop/courses and gained her Teacher's Certificate in Module 1 and is a Module 2 as a Teacher in training. She withholds a current in date First Aid Certificate with the St John's Ambulance and continues to strive to continuing her professional development to ensure her students are provided with the best possible training.

Miss JL believes that watching her students grow and develop as dancer with confidence, passion and enjoyment is one of the most rewarding experiences in her career. She looks forward to walking into the studio each day by motivating and encouraging her students to achieve the goals they desire, to explore and create themselves as a dancer and an artist and to follow their dreams as they allow dance to carry them through their journey through the moments to create themselves as an artist and to unleash their passion as they find who they are.
